IAS is a non-profit, public interest organisation that has been providing accreditation services since 1975. IAS accredits a wide range of companies and organisations, including government agencies, commercial enterprises and professional associations. IAS accreditation programmes are based on recognised national and international standards, which ensures that their accreditations are nationally and/or globally recognised. IAS generates its financial income through the provision and renewal of accreditation services and educational offerings. These revenues are also used to participate in and participate in industry-based accreditation programmes, local and international programmes, including participation in standards development. IAS also maintains signatory status in a number of global multilateral recognition arrangements under the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC), the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). IAS is a member of the ICC Family of Solutions.
